Heritage of Borjomi - limited packaging
It has become an annual tradition: Borjomi unveils special and limited edition packages for its customers, each adorned with unique illustrations. This time, beyond the captivating colors and shapes, the packaging holds the rich narrative of the life-giving water, encompassing its history, heritage, and symbolism. Every line and dot is purposeful, conveying the character, past, and mood of Borjomi.
Comprising three main illustrations, we can aptly refer to it as the Borjomi Triptych.
Chapter One - Depth
In ancient times, as people revered the forces of nature, invocation texts contained a remarkable phrase that resonates through the ages: "Unforgivable in the infinite world and unforgivable in the least."
In the past, where the sea once existed, the land shifted, volcanoes erupted, and mountains ascended. The water receded, covering the land. Nevertheless, Borjomi couldn't remain underground for an extended period. It excavated volcanic rocks, ascended 8,000 meters, acquiring over 60 essential minerals along the way, and resurfaced into the sunlight, reviving life for the Earth's inhabitants once more.
Chapter Two - Magic
In very ancient times, even when people praised the forces of nature, they had invocation texts where we read the wonderful phrase "Unforgivable in the infinite world and unforgivable in the least."
The second image of the triptych appears to illustrate this concept—a small drop of water containing the magic of the entire world: the sun's rays, the might of the mountains, the harmony of the trees, and the flow of the rivers. It's as though it gathers all the energy within itself and transforms it into a life-giving elixir. Perhaps everyone has experienced this magical power at least once.
Chapter Three - Deer
The deer holds a revered status as a cult figure in Borjomi, representing a primal connection. It was no coincidence that ancient Georgians believed deer antlers served as cosmic channels, capturing heavenly signals. The deer symbolized the bridge between the earthly and celestial realms, with many deer symbols prevalent in pre-Christian Georgia. This creature served as a guide toward enlightenment, a beacon pointing the way to light. This symbolic function is perceptible in the legend of Borjomi, where a deer traced the path leading to its life-giving water.
All three illustrations are designed in the same style. We have been told many times that Borjomi is a perfect symbiosis of four fundamental elements: volcanic fire, mineral-rich soil, air and water itself.
According to Eastern medicine, the fundamental principle of health revolves around maintaining a balance among the four elements. The human body is essentially a composite of these four elements, and any imbalance among them disrupts the integrity of the organism. Hence, for a person to be healthy, it is imperative to ensure harmony among these elemental forces.
To uphold this internal unity, a daily routine, wholesome nutrition, physical exercise, fresh air, and mental and emotional hygiene are essential. On this challenging journey, Borjomi's life-giving water emerges as one of our staunchest allies. With its supply of over 60 minerals and the rarity of volcanic water, which can be counted on one hand in the world, Borjomi plays a crucial role in supporting our body's well-being.
The illustration on the packaging vividly showcases the life-giving properties of Borjomi's water, employing elements representative of all four essential components.
In essence, achieving a harmonious balance of these elements demands great skill; some elements strengthen each other, some are in conflict, while others remain neutral.
Borjomi's special packaging stands as a testament to masterful craftsmanship. It has the remarkable ability to transform the act of drinking mineral water into a magical journey, mirroring the transformative journey that life-giving water undergoes itself.
